  • Bullseye was the first bull we selected in launching REAL GENETICS, basing that choice on the many good qualities we observed in his dam, Riversong Avery Brightness, who continues to mature gracefully, exhibiting both the performance and the health & fertility traits that the best of the "Avery" daughters so effortlessly display.
  • "Brightness" descends maternally from a well-respected cow family developed for many years at Rebob, although this line was overshadowed there by the greater visibility of other contemporary lines, including the "Halo" family.  Based on JPI™ ranking, "Brightness" herself had barely missed being considered as a potential bull mother elsewhere when we became interested in "Bullseye."
  • The mating of "Jace" with "Brightness" appealed to us as one achieving balance by combining the frame and stature typical of "Jace" with the height and width of rear udder found in this E-92% "Avery" daughter, whose dam was a "Berretta" daughter scoring E-95%.   In reviewing the genetic evaluations on "Brightness" and her dam, it is important to note their records are made in a herd comprised almost entirely of cows of another breed, and that the Jersey lactations are under a separate herd code, thus severely limiting the range and number of herdmates for genetic evaluation calculations.
  • We anticipate "Bullseye" can sire daughters possessing correct foot and leg structure, a desirable depth of rib for the kind of body capacity that enhances enthusiastic dry matter intake, and the rear udder height and width that keeps a high-producing udder well up out of harm's way for greater longevity in today's large herd settings.
